Crawford, Molina ready for showdown Saturday

Posted

Make no mistake about it, both Terence "Bud" Crawford and John Molina Jr. are confident about their chances against one another. Crawford will try to defend his WBO and WBC light welterweight championship belts against Molina when the two hop into the ring Saturday, Dec. 10.

"This fight is going to be a great fight," Crawford said. "There's a lot at stake for me, and I'm looking forward to seizing this opportunity and becoming what I want to become come Saturday."

Crawford did not mince words when talking about his training, as well as how prepared he feels he is for whatever Molina brings him Saturday night.

"We trained really hard," Crawford said. "And I can assure you, I can assure you that whatever he brings come Saturday we're going to be prepared for it. If he wants to box it out, bang it out or whatever, we'll be ready."

Molina also gave his vote of confidence in himself and his team heading into the fight with Crawford.

"We've prepared well," Molina said. "Terence is a unique champion. I don't like to compare him to anybody because he's very special in that way. But with that being said, we are prepared for the best version of Terence Crawford, and a fight is what everyone is going to get."
