The director of instruction at Happy Hollow Golf Club is going to the PGA Championship.
Ryan Vermeer, a Millard South graduate and former Kansas golfer, finished 5-under to win the PGA Professional Championship by one shot.
Vermeer played in the PGA Championship a year ago as well.
The top-20 finishers in the tournament qualified for August's PGA Championship in St. Louis. Vermeer is the first Nebraskan to win the title.
