Millard South needed a win to stay alive at the state baseball tournament Wednesday afternoon, and the Patriots outlasted Creighton Prep, 7-4 final, to advance to the tournament's final day.
Millard South will now meet Omaha Burke in an elimination game Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Werner Park. The winner of that contest then faces Creighton Prep for the state championship at 1 p.m.
