At the 2018 state legion baseball tournament, Millard West (Roof Tech) came out on top of the American Division, beating Elkhorn (OrthoNebraska), 8-5 in Wednesday's final at Frerich Legion Field in Elkhorn.
Millard West took the lead right away, plating three runs in the top of the first inning. Elkhorn responded with four runs in the bottom half of the first to take a 4-3 lead.
But Millard West quickly answered back in the top of the second inning, as a Max Anderson two-RBI double put Millard West ahead for good.
Millard West will now host the state legion tournament final Saturday afternoon.
