Papillion-La Vista sophomore Ethan Neil won his first Class A #1 state singles title on Thursday in Omaha. Neil knocked off Lincoln Southeast's Jack Bergmeyer in three sets (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) to claim the crown. Neil had to overcome cramping in the 2nd set to prevail in the 3rd.
Meanwhile, Millard North won the team title.
