Paige Halter is overjoyed to be the morning meteorologist at KMTV news in Omaha, NE!
While this is her first time living in Omaha, she appreciates the familiar midwestern atmosphere, as she grew up in Chesterfield, MO.
Paige graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Atmospheric Science. Upon graduation, she was inducted in Kappa Tau Alpha - the journalism honor society that recognizes the top 10 percent of graduates. She spent time at KOMU as a reporter, and at ABC17 as a forecaster, she's grateful for both experiences.
Originally, Paige wanted to become a sports reporter- this stems from her love of watching NFL games with her family and friends. But, after taking an Introduction to Meteorology course with Mizzou's own Eric Aldrich, she found a new passion - weather. Since then, she's dedicated time to learning more about forecasting, the atmosphere, and fun weather stories... after all, weather is the number one conversation starter!
Paige's faith is what she hopes becomes the most outstanding aspect about her. She values her relationship with the Lord above everything else, she has peace knowing that so long as she remains on the path He has planned for her, everything will work out - all for His good!
Right after work, Paige hits the gym. She's been lifting for nearly three years now, and is so proud of the progress she's made! Besides the gym, you'll probably find her at Bible studies, fishing, or baking a new sweet treat while listening to some 50's jazz.
