4:14 p.m.
According to Spencer Head, a spokesman for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office: "The DCSO can confirm that we have a deputy who was injured in the area of Nineteenth and Washington. The sheriff is en route to the location."

Head says that the scene "is not secure."

3:50 p.m.
there is an unconfirmed report that one police officer was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

3:30 p.m.: KMTV is working to confirm details surrounding a heavy police activity near 19th and Washington Streets in South Omaha.
