COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — On Tuesday morning the Pottawattamie County Board declared April Child Abuse Prevention Month. Thriving Families Alliance was at the board meeting to mark the occasion.
KMTV reporter, Katrina Markel, was driving by the courthouse as neighbors were planting pinwheels in front front of the courthouse to bring attention to the cause. This year theme: "Pinwheels of Possibility."
