Hughes Leaves Nebraska

Posted

Just a couple days after National Signing Day the Huskers have lost their defensive line coach.  The Huskers announced today that Hank Hughes will not return to the staff for 2016.  In his only season with Nebraska they ranked ninth in the country in run defense.  However, they ranked just 78th in sacks.

Head coach Mike Riley also released this statement.  “I want to thank Hank for his hard work and contributions to our football program over the past year,” Riley said. “We continue to build our program with the pursuit of championships always at the forefront of everything we do, and we will look for a great coach, teacher and recruiter to enhance our defense.”
