OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you're looking for a night out with your family this weekend, Werner Park might be the place for you! Fresh Hope for Mental Health and the Omaha Storm Chasers will be hosting "A Night of Inspiring Hope at the Ballpark" this Friday.
Darryl Strawberry, former New York Mets legend, will be part of the hosting group. Strawberry helped the Mets win the World Series in 1986, and the crosstown rivals the New York Yankees with the World Series three times in 1996, 1998, and 1999.
Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs, Teammates, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Hope Center - and others - will attend and watch batting practice with Strawberry beginning at 4 p.m, attend the 7:05 Storm Chasers game, and then watch the post game fireworks from the field.
