LINCOLN (KMTV) — After an embarrassing home loss last Saturday to Illinois, the Nebraska football team is now turning its attention to its rivalry game at Iowa on Black Friday.
On Monday, Huskers head coach Scott Frost said it was doubtful that senior inside linebacker Collin Miller will return to play this season after suffering an injury against the Illini. Frost said Miller suffered a spinal concussion but as of now, it didn't seem like it would be a long term injury.
Frost also said the quarterback competition continues between Adrian Martinez & Luke McCaffrey.
"There’s no doubt in my mind Luke McCaffrey’s the future around here," Frost said on Monday. "But right now, to help us win, we've got to play the guy that gives us the best chance. And I think Adrian's been playing with a little chip on his shoulder. Luke's playing well. So we're going to evaluate this week and see which ones goes out there.
Friday's game kicks off at noon on Fox.
