Iowa football team activities paused due to COVID-19 cases

IOWA CITY (KMTV) — The Iowa football team has paused team activities for at least the next five days following an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Iowa athletic director Gary Barta made the announcement on Monday.

Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz tested positive last Friday & was planning to return to team activities on December 27 at the earliest.

Iowa is scheduled to face Missouri in the Music City Bowl on December 30.
