OMAHA (KMTV) — Creighton's Marcus Zegarowski returned to the CU lineup but the 11th ranked Jays were upset at home by Providence on Wednesday night. 74-70.
It's Creighton's 2nd straight BIG EAST loss. Zegarowski, the Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year, missed CU's last two games with a hamstring injury. The junior finished with 17 points while Damien Jefferson scored a career-high 26. Nate Watson had a career-high 29 points for the Friars.
