The Creighton baseball team dropped its rubber match to Seton Hall on Sunday, 3-0.

The Jays struggled against Pirates' starting pitcher Billy Layne, who threw 8.1 innings, while striking out a career-high 11.

With a 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd, Al Molina drilled a two-run homer to left that put the Pirates up 3-0.

CU fell to 26-15 overall and 5-9 in BIG EAST play. The Jays remain in 5th place in the conference standings, needing a top four finish to make the league tournament later this month.

Creighton hosts Nebraska on Tuesday at TD Ameritrade Park beginning at 6:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
