Believe it or not, the month of October is almost over! We’ve had a parade of cold fronts throughout the month and the last few days will be no different.

Our next cold front will arrive on Wednesday. While it may bring a few spotty showers, it’s certainly going to bring in more cold air.

Afternoon highs on Wednesday will be near 60 degrees as the cold front arrives and then drop to the mid and upper 40s for Thursday afternoon.

The cold temperatures don’t last too long, but our warm up will only get us into the mid 50s on Friday and then low to mid 60s on Saturday (the only day at or above average in the week). We then have yet another cold front arriving late Saturday into Sunday morning.

Overall, it looks like the cooler than average temperatures will prevail through the end of the month and into the start of November. This will likely lead to jackets being a useful part of Halloween costumes this year.

As for more precipitation, we’ve got a few more chances for rain before we flip over the calendar to a new month, leading to wetter than average conditions over the last days over October. Keep in mind, we’ve also surpassed our monthly average total rainfall.
