In a release the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said that Ross S. Lorello III, 43, was booked at Douglas County Corrections on Wednesday afternoon for one count of criminal homicide in connection to the death of real estate agent, Michael "Mickey" Sodoro.

The sheriff's office said that the suspect allegedly met Sodoro, 70, at a rental property on W Street in West Omaha, which was recently purchased by the Sodoro family. Investigators believe that Sodoro intended to show Lorello the home.

Sheriff Deputies discovered Sodoro's body inside the rental property yesterday after family members reported him missing and an autopsy determined he died of a gunshot wound.

The investigation is on-going and 3 News Now will continue to provide updates.

According to Captain Eric Sellers from the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Michael "Mickey" Sodoro is the victim of a suspected homicide. He is a realtor with N.P. Dodge and investigators believe he was showing the property where his body was discovered this morning. He was reported missing by family members last night.

Sodoro's vehicle was found at another location with the help of OnStar, Sellers said.

There is no suspect in custody and Sellers said that rumors of an arrest are not helpful to the on-going investigation. He also recommended that Omaha-area realtors show properties in pairs until more is known about this case.
