The two candidates in the hotly contested race for Iowa's third congressional district squared off in a debate Thursday night.
Republican Congressman David Young and Democratic challenger Cindy Axne sparred about several issues, including taxes and health care.
Young is seeking his third term.
Axne described herself as a small business owner, mom and somebody who is a voice for the voiceless to hold the government accountable.
Young says he is focused on helping veterans and giving tax relief to Iowans.
Several polls have the race too close to call.
