Hundreds braved the cold to attend the final farewell for Army Sergeant Kyle Leflore.

Leflore was buried with full military honors at Omaha National Cemetery, including a rifle salute and presentation of the flag.

His funeral services took place earlier in the day at Greater Beth-el Temple, where members of his family spoke.

"When I think of Kyle, I think of one word: respectful," his sister said while reading acknowledgements. "No words that I read will mend the broken hearts this morning. But what I do know, that God is still on the throne."

Family says Leflore was home for the holidays when he was fatally shot.

He recently returned from a tour of duty in South Korea.

"Kyle would go on to box all army on the boxing team," his cousin said at the funeral. "He would be the number one fighter in all of Korea. That's a really big accomplishment."

His father says Leflore also served two tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq.
