LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) says a 12-year-old girl reported an attempted kidnapping on Friday night. They have a vehicle description that's sure to stand out but they do not have a suspect in custody at this time.

LPD says the girl was skateboarding at 9 p.m. on Friday near 6th and Garfield Streets when a 30-40-year old heavyset white man tried to grab her and pull her into his truck. The girl says the man has short gray hair and drove a pickup truck with a white cab and black box.

They are not reporting that he has been located at this time.

Parents in Omaha were on high-alert this weekend after two men tried to abduct a 5-year-old girl from her yard. Luckily her father acted quickly and the men were arrested.
