Omaha Police say a second person has died as a result of a drunk driving crash last weekendnear Lake Cunningham.
Police say a 21-year-old Thomas Griese of Council Bluffs died from his injuries Thursday. Griese was a passenger in the vehicle when a pickup truck crossed the center line on Highway 36 and hit the car, killing 21-year-old Joseph Daniels.
Investigators believe the driver of the pickup, Tony Kenkel, had been drinking. He is facing felony motor vehicle homicide and DUI charges.
