Creighton basketball dropped its fifth game of the season in an 85-71 loss at Providence. The loss marks the Jays third loss in BIG EAST play.

Marcus Foster was Creighton's bright spot on offense, scoring 22 points on seven of 16 shooting to go along with four rebounds and three assists.

The Jays shot just 39.4% from the field and connected on just seven of their 27 three point attempts.

Providence's Alpha Diallo gave Creighton fits defensively as he racked up 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Creighton was without center Martin Krampelj who tore his ACL in Wednesday night's win over Seton Hall.

Up next for the Jays is a road trip to St. John's Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. before heading back home to take on Georgetown Saturday at 7 p.m. in Centurylink Center.
