OMAHA (KMTV) — The Creighton men's basketball team led 16th ranked Villanova for nearly the entire game but the Jays couldn't close the deal as the Wildcats won, 64-59 on Tuesday night in Omaha.
CU's big three of Ty-Shon Alexander, Mitch Ballock & Marcus Zegarowski were held to just 23 total points.
Christian Bishop led the way for the Bluejays with 16 points, while Collin Gillespie scored a game-high 24 for 'Nova.
Creighton fell to 12-4 overall, 1-2 in the Big East. The Jays visit Xavier on Saturday.
