Creighton defeats Georgetown 85-77 in the Bluejays annual Pink Out game Saturday night.

Creighton's center Jacob Epperson burned his redshirt making his first appearance as a Bluejay. On his first possession Epperson dunked on the Hoyas to give the Jays a 20-13 lead in the first half. Georgetown came back tying up the game 28-28 with 6:30 left in the first half. With 20 points from Marcus Foster in the first half the Bluejays headed into the locker room with a 46-33 lead.

Creighton ran away with the lead in the second half taking 16 point lead with under 13 minutes on the clock. The Bluejays went five minutes without scoring allowing the Hoyas to come within six points with eight minutes to play. After a Georgetown three-pointer Creighton led by just one point with 4:12 remaining. Despite the Hoyas late rally the Bluejays came out with a 85-77 win to improve to 17-5 overall, 7-3 BIG EAST.

Three Bluejays finished in the double-figures; Foster (28), Khyri Thomas (20) and Hegner (16).

Next on the schedule the Bluejays have two road games against Villanova on Thursday Feb. 1 and DePaul Wednesday Feb. 7.
