The 9th ranked Creighton volleyball team won its 5th straight BIG EAST title on Saturday beating 16th ranked Marquette in the tournament final, 3-1 (26-28, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21). The victory was the Jays' 20th in a row.
Tournament MVP Jaali Winters had a team-high 19 kills as did fellow senior Taryn Kloth. CU (28-4) will now await its NCAA Tournament fate. The Jays will likely host 1st and 2nd round matches. The bracket will be unveiled on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
