LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The No. 25 Nebraska basketball team defeated Cal State Fullerton 86-62 Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
With the win Nebraska moves to 10-2 on the season and 7-0 in home games. Nebraska has won 18-straight games at home, the longest home win streak in over 50 years.
Senior guard Glynn Watson Jr. recorded his first career double-double in the win with 10 points and 10 assists. The 10 assists are a career high for Watson and were the most in a game for Nebraska since 2011.
Senior guard James Palmer Jr. finished with a game-high 23 points, going 4-of-6 from behind the arc while junior forward Isaiah Roby had a career-high 20 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
"When you look at it, you need to come out and compete your best," said Head Coach Tim Miles. "We did a lot of things right but there are things we can do better. But at the same time I want us to be able to go out and play well, build a lead and win a game and nobody gets hurt and I think that happened."
Nebraska will be off for a week to celebrate the holidays and will return to Pinnacle Bank Arena on December 29 to finish off non-conference play against Southwest Minnesota State.
