ELKHORN (KMTV) — Huskers baseball pitching commit Drew Christo is excited to compete in the Perfect Game All-American Classic in Oklahoma City on Friday.
The Elkhorn senior was one of 55 players picked nationally to be a part of the event that also raises money for the OK Kids Korral.
"We partner with the pediatric cancer patients at that facility and so we buddy up with them," said Christo. "We each have our own donation page where we try to raise money for these kids because the stuff that they're going through at such a young age is just is more than anyone should have to go through in their life. So we kind of buddy up with them throughout the week. That donation piece is a big part of it, raising money for their foundation so that they can hopefully get the treatment that they need."
The game starts at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
