Next in our O-S-I Prep Pigskin Preview is Elkhorn High.
Like Elkhorn South and Gretna, the Antlers will be moving up from Class B to Class A in 2018. Though it may be a step up in competition, the team is ready for the challenge.
"Elkhorn's had good football for decades and we'll show them that we still have good football, said head coach Mark Wortman. "I'm sure we'll play a lot of talented teams out there from Omaha Burke to Lincoln Southwest and Millard North."
"[I can't wait for] new competition, we were always Class B," said senior center Brett Swanson. "It will be fun I guess to go up with the big dogs."
The Antlers will have an entirely different looking lineup in 2018. They're only returning three starters on each side of the ball. They'll open up 2018 with a rivalry game against Elkhorn South.
