PAPILLION, Neb. (KMTV) — Brian Adams started Spin! Pizza in Papillion seven years ago.

He believes there's something special about the pizza here.

"I enjoy a good deep dish pizza as much as anyone but after you eat a couple of pieces, you're kind of full on bread, right? Here it's more about forms and flavors than it is about the overwhelmingness of the crust , so it's light and airy," said Adams.

It starts with the dough.

"It's a top-secret recipe for the dough. It's flour, water and yeast. That's it,” said Adams.

From the dough to the sauce, everything here is simple and fresh. All the ingredients are prepared new every morning and their pizza is Neopolitan inspired.

“A Neapolitan style is going to have a nice rich tomato flavor, thin-crust, hand-tossed up in the air and cooked on a hot stone,” said Adams.

This hot stone oven gets up to 700 degrees and it spins, which means the pizza cooks evenly and it's done in minutes.

Adam Hicks has been making pizzas for a decade.

"The key to having a good pizza is having a little bit of every topping in every bite — so if you can do that — you've made a good pizza,” said Hicks.

If you're eating healthier this new year, they've got you covered with gluten-free and cauliflower crusts. They also have salads.

One customer favorite is the apple and sausage pizza, but whatever you order, they’re thankful for your business.

Spin! lost 50% of its sales when it was forced to close during the pandemic. They say carryout sales carried them.

Spin! has a popular Takeout Tuesday lunch deal. It's the Mini Mia — you get a 7-inch pizza with your choice of a soup or salad for $9.95.

There are two Spin! locations: one in Papillion and the other at the Legacy Village in Omaha.

Both offer carryout and curbside pickup, along with delivery through Door Dash, Uber Eats and GrubHub.
