Jill Lamkins is your neighborhood news reporter for Northwest Omaha. She started working for KMTV 3 News Now in June 2023! Jill is passionate about connecting with her community and telling the stories that matter to them. Whether she's simply filling up at the gas pump or knocking on doors to get to know neighbors, Jill is one to never say no to making a new connection. Originally from the Twin Cities, Jill moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelors of Journalism. During her time at UNL, Jill was a member of the Scarlets Dance Team for all four years of college. Her favorite sport to dance at was football. She is also an alumna of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. At the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, Jill was a leader for the student-run broadcast show, Nebraska Nightly. There, she helped mentor other students while also working as the executive producer and anchor for the show. As a Minnesota native, Jill is a huge Vikings fan, SKOL! She also enjoys cooking, being active and spending time with friends and family.
